This old ale offers oak, butterscotch, caramel and smoky notes on the aroma with sweet malt liquorice and butterscotch on the palate. Smooth chocolate and roasted grain mark the finish with powerful hints of whiskey and bitter hops. The name “Ola Dubh” (pronounced as “olah doov”) means “black oil” in Gaelic.
